ClamXAV v3.9.3 (11366) - What’s new?
Here’s a run-down of what’s in the works for ClamXAV v3.9.3
- Computers managed by Xenia can now automatically install ClamXAV app updates without being pushed by an admin
- Improvements when re-activating a previously-deactivated machine (no longer need to wait ~24 hours)
- Improved handling of scheduled DB updates when the update fails
- Failed DB updates no longer produce an annoying dialog as they’re automatically rescheduled anyway
- Fixed an issue where entering an invalid registration key could ClamXAV to be stuck in an inoperable state
- Fixed an issue that caused a full database download on every update
- Fixed an issue that caused scheduled scan settings to be ignored under specific circumstances
- Fixed an issue that caused the Reports Window (for updates) to list the wrong DB version
- Fixed an issue that could lead to runaway CPU usage for the menu item (ClamXAV UI Helper)
How to get it
You can get the beta by either downloading the installer or via in-app update.
To opt in/out of receiving beta updates via in-app update, go to:
ClamXAV -> Settings -> Advanced, and select/deselect “Enable Beta Updates”

How to revert to the non-beta version
- Uninstall ClamXAV using the partial uninstaller
- Re-install ClamXAV using the main installer pkg
